Hester Laughlin

Hi, I’m Hester, a physiotherapist, a mum, a lover of the outdoors and good coffee, living and working in South Hobart, Tasmania.  I’m looking forward to meeting you, but first, here’s a little more on me…

I completed my undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in Melbourne in 2003, before moving to Scotland in 2005. Prior to this move, I worked in several private practices in Australia gaining substantial experience in sports injuries and general Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

In Scotland I continued my focus on Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy working in some highly esteemed clinics such as the Hampden National Stadium in Glasgow. In 2008 I completed my masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, which has enabled me to go on to become a titled member of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia.

2009 saw a move to Swansea, in South Wales, UK, where I started up my own clinic not long after my first son was born.  Swansea also saw the beginning of my JEMS journey and learning about the incredible relationship a person has with their body and how this impacts on the functioning of the entire system.

Fast forward to February 2016 and I find myself here, in Tassie! The perfect place for me, my family, and the love of the great outdoors (…and great coffee)!

My passion is includes Musculoskeletal physiotherapy, efficiency of movement and sports performance, as well as persistent pain.
