Hester Laughlin
Hi, I’m Hester, a physiotherapist, a mum, a lover of the outdoors and good coffee, living and working in South Hobart, Tasmania. I’m looking forward to meeting you, but first, here’s a little more on me…

I completed my undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in Melbourne in 2003, before moving to Scotland in 2005. Prior to this move, I worked in several private practices in Australia gaining substantial experience in sports injuries and general Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
In Scotland I continued my focus on Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy working in some highly esteemed clinics such as the Hampden National Stadium in Glasgow. In 2008 I completed my masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, which has enabled me to go on to become a titled member of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia.

2009 saw a move to Swansea, in South Wales, UK, where I started up my own clinic not long after my first son was born. Swansea also saw the beginning of my JEMS journey and learning about the incredible relationship a person has with their body and how this impacts on the functioning of the entire system. This journey continues to this day. My second son was also born in Swansea and four years later, we moved again....

In February 2016 I find myself here, in Hobart! The perfect place for me, my family, and the love of the great outdoors (…and great coffee)! This has also see me expanding into Persistent Pain including completion of the post-graduate certificate in Pain Sciences from the University of South Australia, and further courses in the JEMS process.

In my spare time I love to run, ride, climb mountains or go outdoors, craft, and look after my crazy animal menagerie!
